Episode 211, Apple issues critical update correcting the triggering of erroneous emergency messages and dispatches; how to enable and disable crash detection



In this episode, we will discuss Apple issuing a critical updatie to 16.3.1 to correct a critical feature which has triggered erroneous emergency messages causing false dispatches.  This is an important to recreational enthusiasts who participate in activities where a fall may occur,  This patch is intended to correct the issue, however, we will tell you how to manually enable and disable crash detection .

Whether it’s skiing, snowboarding, tubing or sledding, any recreational sport where a fall is possible, this Apple update is a necessary and needs to be made as quickly as possible.
We will also tell you how to turn on and off crash detection is desired.

Episode 177, Apple’s Self Service Repair now available; Apple to feature Skywalker Studios in Star Wars ‘Behind the Mac’ episode, Wednesday, May 4

The new Apple Self Service Repair online store offers more than 200 individual parts and tools, enabling customers who are experienced with the complexities of repairing electronic devices to complete repairs on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineups and iPhone SE, 3rd generation, such as the display, battery, and camera. Episode 170, ‘Peek Performance’ Apple Event launches new hardware, software, accessories and brings baseball to Apple TV+



In this episode, we will highlight today’s peek performance Apple Event which included launch of the Mac Studio and Studio Display; a new 5G version of the iPhone SE with an A15 chip; and an M1 iPad Air with 5G capability; and new colors to the iPhone 13, Software includes new versions of iOS and macOS.  Accessories debuted are new iPhone and and AppleWatch bands. Episode 167, Apple announces businesses to accept contactless payments through Tap to Pay on iPhone; Apple updates AirTag and unwanted tracking



In this episode, we will discuss Apple announcements this week, United States merchants will be able to accept Apple Pay and other contactless payments simply later this year by using iPhone and a partner-enabled iOS application.  In the second half of the podcast we will talk about Apple discussing AirTags and unwanted tracking. Episode 165, New AppleWatch band launches; new fitness challenge award; and Apple’s iPhone macro photo contest for ‘Shot on iPhone’ Challenge begins

Episode 161, Apple’s Polishing Cloth finally arrives along with an enlightening review



Happy New Year.  In our first episode of  2022, we will review the Apple Polishing Cloth which I finally received.  For most U.S. shoppers, their shipment has been delayed until early January, at the earliest, so this review is timely even with its early launch.   I’ve been using it rigorously to give you my initial review.

Apple’s polishing cloth is priced is sold both in Apple retail stores and on Apple.com. The cloth has been delayed for months and is just coming to many customers in 2022.
