Episode 165, New AppleWatch band launches; new fitness challenge award; and Apple’s iPhone macro photo contest for ‘Shot on iPhone’ Challenge begins



In this episode, we will discuss this week’s news of Apple launching a special edition Apple Watch Black Unity Braided Solo Loop and matching Unity Lights watch, a new fitness challenge award; and the opportunity to share your best iPhone macro photos for Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” Challenge.

The Black Unity Braided Solo Loop band is created by weaving together 16,000 recycled yarn and silicone threads using advanced precision-braiding machinery, for an ultra-comfortable, custom fit.  The band is priced at $99 US and is available at apple.com.
Throughout February, users will also have the opportunity to participate in the Unity Challenge and earn a limited-edition award, by closing their Move ring seven days in a row.
Apple invites iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users to capture the little things, in a big way, with a macro photography Shot on iPhone Challenge. The challenge starts today and runs through February 16, 2022. Winners will be announced in April.

In this episode we will learn how to capture stunning floral photos with iPhone 12 Pro models.  This week Apple published a tutorial on how to take great floral photos.  We in Anchorage have some beautiful botanical gardens and there are many similar places throughout the world.  This was information which we at Mac Minutes wanted to make sure it gets passed on as it’s a valuable educational program. Episode 73, Apple’s launches new iPhone SE with a 4.7-inch screen, Touch ID, and A13 Bionic Chip



In this episode we will discuss the Apple’s launch Wed, March 15th of their new smartphone, the iPhone SE.  The new iPhone features a 4.7-inch screen, Touch ID, and the same A13 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro series. A single camera sports a 12-megapixel, f/1.8 aperture wide camera. You can take advantage of Portrait mode, all six Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control. It takes up to 4k 60fps video. The iPhone SE is available for pre-order on Friday, March 17th and will be available a week later on Friday, April 24th. There are three different colors available: black, white and red.
