Episode 117, mophie introduces the new Juice Pack Connect universal battery system; and seven digit phone dialing coming to an end



In this episode, mophie, the tech accessory retailer, revamps its flagship juice pack and introduces the Juice Pack Connect universal battery system.  After using one for a couple weeks now, I will be giving a hands-on review. Episode 115, How to capture stunning floral photos with iPhone 12 Pro models



In this episode we will learn how to capture stunning floral photos with iPhone 12 Pro models.  This week Apple published a tutorial on how to take great floral photos.  We in Anchorage have some beautiful botanical gardens and there are many similar places throughout the world.  This was information which we at Mac Minutes wanted to make sure it gets passed on as it’s a valuable educational program. Apple introduces the Black Unity Collection, designed to celebrate and acknowledge Black history and Black culture. The collection includes a limited-edition Apple Watch Series 6, the Black Unity Sport Band, and the Unity watch face.
The Black Unity Sport Band uses colors inspired by the Pan-African flag with the words “Truth. Power. Solidarity.” laser-engraved onto the closure
Apple Watch users can participate in a new Unity Activity Challenge and earn the limited-edition award by closing their Move ring seven days in a row during February.

Episode 107, Apple launches cardio fitness notifications on Apple Watch; updates iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2



In this episode we will look at an Apple’s announcement Monday, Dec 14th where users can view their cardio fitness level in the Health app on iPhone, and receive a notifications on Apple Watch if it falls within the low range. Apple Watch users can now view how their cardio fitness level is classified based on their age group and sex in the Health app on iPhone, and receive a notification if it falls within the low range.
With watchOS 7, Apple Watch uses multiple sensors to estimate an expanded range of cardio fitness as users walk throughout the day, whether or not they are tracking a workout.

In this episode we will look at a great look at a great stocking stuffer for the Apple enthusiast.  Today, we will  look at a MagSafe Duo Charger. iPadOS 14 is the powerful operating system designed specifically for iPad and brings new features and capabilities such as Scribble, which allows Apple Pencil users to handwrite directly into any text field; useful new sidebars for apps including Photos and Files; and redesigned widgets.
