Episode 124, Apple’s virtual event introduces AirTags, along with new iPad Pro, iMac and Apple TV 4K



In this episode, we will discuss Apple’s introduction of AirTags which were part of a virtual event on Tuesday, April 20th which brought new colorful iMacs, iPad Pro equipped with an M1 chip, and an Apple TV 4K with remote. AirTag is a small and elegantly designed accessory that can be personalized with free engraving, and enables iPhone users to securely locate and keep track of their valuables using the Find My app.
AirTag can be placed into a bag or pocket on its own, or utilized with a wide range of Apple-designed AirTag accessories, with personalized free engraving including text and a selection of emoji.
Precision Finding with AirTag fuses input from the camera, ARKit, accelerometer, and gyroscope on iPhone to provide a more precise, directionally aware finding experience.

Episode 123, Apple’s announces new Fitness + workouts, Apple Watch Activity Challenges and Apple launch event scheduled



In this episode, we will discuss Apple’s announcement of new activity challenges for Earth Day and International Dance Day occurring soon and specialized workouts added to Fitness +. Episode 122, Apple’s Find My network now offers new third-party finding experiences and new products

The Find My network accessory program enables users to keep track of their belongings in the new Items tab within the Find My app. When an item has gone missing but is nearby, users can play a sound on their Find My-enabled product to pinpoint its location.
Chipolo s launching their special edition Chipolo ONE Spot, which works exclusively with Apple’s Find My network and the Find My app. This means that users can pair the Chipolo ONE Spot to the Find My app on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac to track and findtheir lost belongings using the vast Find My network, made up of hundreds of millions of Apple devices around the world.

Episode 120, Stanford Study finds AppleWatch can accurately assess frailty; Apple updates mobile device operating systems



In this episode, we discuss how a Stanford Study found the AppleWatch can predict frailty in Veteran’s Health Administration patients, proving once again how important the AppleWatch when combined with an iPhone can be in a health program.  We will finish the podcast covering Apple’s recent updates of various mobile device operating systems, including iOS 14.4.2, iPad OS 14.2.2 and WatchOS 7.3.3. Episode 119, Apple Maps now displays COVID-19 vaccination locations; testing; and using location tracking



In this episode, we will discuss Apple’s recent announcement on new COVID features in the maps application.  You can now ask the Siri or search within Apple Maps to find nearby COVID-19 vaccine providers throughout the US, with operating hours and links to important information. We will cover how these tips work and talk about other features for finding COVID testing and using location tracking. Apple Maps users can now quickly find the closest pharmacies and healthcare providers offering COVID-19 vaccines.
Information including address, operating hours, contact information, and more can be found on the provider’s placecard in Apple Maps.

Episode 118, AirPop launches first smart air wearable, Active + with Halo Sensor; and Apple updates operating systems

Episode 115, How to capture stunning floral photos with iPhone 12 Pro models



In this episode we will learn how to capture stunning floral photos with iPhone 12 Pro models.  This week Apple published a tutorial on how to take great floral photos.  We in Anchorage have some beautiful botanical gardens and there are many similar places throughout the world.  This was information which we at Mac Minutes wanted to make sure it gets passed on as it’s a valuable educational program.
